ITE HCMC 2024: Pioneering Sustainable Tourism and Cooperation in Asia

The International Travel Expo Ho Chi Minh City (ITE HCMC 2024) is poised to cement its reputation as one of Asia’s most significant tourism events. Drawing global industry leaders, esteemed media coverage, and an expanded International Hosted Buyer Program, the expo continues to elevate its influence and showcase Vietnam as a key tourism hub.

Scheduled from September 5-7, 2024, at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC), ITE HCMC 2024 aims to position Ho Chi Minh City and Vietnam as central players in Asia’s tourism landscape.

“Vietnam is not just a destination; it’s becoming a strategic hub for Asia’s tourism sector,” said Mr. Le Truong Hien Hoa, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism.

Global Leaders in Tourism to Attend

For the first time, the expo will welcome Flight Centre Travel Group (Australia), a Fortune 500 company operating in over 90 countries, and Intrepid Travel (Australia), recently named one of TIME Magazine’s 100 Most Influential Companies of 2023. These industry leaders are among many distinguished participants.

Additionally, ITE HCMC 2024 has garnered attention from pivotal markets such as the United States and Europe. Notable attendees include Collette, America’s oldest travel company with over 100 years of expertise in luxury tours, and Exim Tours, a prominent member of the European DERTour Group.

International Spotlight with CNN Coverage

For the first time, CNN will feature a Vietnamese tourism event, highlighting ITE HCMC 2024 on its Marketplace Asia program. This landmark coverage amplifies the event’s global visibility, creating new opportunities for international collaboration. The expo has also secured support from over 40 international media outlets across 10 countries and territories.

Expanded Hosted Buyer Program and Enhanced Networking

The International Hosted Buyer Program is set to grow by 10% this year, with 200 international buyers from 33 countries and territories confirmed to attend. These buyers, alongside 450 exhibitors, will engage in 10,000 B2B meetings over three days, tailored to foster impactful business connections.

A state-of-the-art online scheduling system, open from August 20 to September 20, will streamline appointment-setting for international buyers, minimizing wait times on-site. Additionally, the upgraded ITE HCMC App incorporates AI-powered matchmaking and QR code scanning for instant partner information, supporting seamless interactions and promoting sustainability.
